YESM fosters art, unlike few other academic fests, thus adhering to the adage that “art steps in, when words fail.” Art-Flation incorporates a wide variety of exciting and creative events, which range from exploring our theme’s aesthetic through the medium of doodling, acrylic, and digital painting, where economics will intersect graphic design.

Sub-Events and Topics

  1. Water Colour/Acrylic:Building Sustainable Livelihoods (In-Person Event)
  2. Digital Poster: Women’s Financial Inclusion and Empowerment Through Technology (Online Submission)
  3. Comic Strips/Doodling: Addressing Economic Inequality (In-Person Event)

Prizes

  1. The winner under each sub-event shall receive trophy and a certificate of merit.
  2. The first runner-up shall receive trophy and a certificate of merit.
  3. All participants will get a participation certificates.

Rules and Regulations

  1. The event is open to enrolled high school (+2) and undergraduate students of any discipline.
  2. Only individual participation is allowed.
  3. Entries must adhere to the topic.
  4. Out of the sub-events, only the Digital Poster event shall be conducted online. The two other events shall be conducted in-person.
  5. For submissions for the Digital Poster event, the participants need to upload their entries as images in .jpeg, .png or .pdf format. A time-lapse video will also be required to be submitted.
  6. The in-person events will be held in the Jadavpur University campus. One art paper will be provided to each individual but the participants must come with their other essential art stationeries.
  7. For the in-person events, participants will be given 3 hours to complete their art work. For the Digital Art event, submission guidelines are stated below.
  8. The artwork must be the participant’s original work. Any plagiarism shall lead to immediate disqualification.
  9. The decision of the judges shall be final and binding.
  10. The participants need to submit valid proof of the present qualification.

Water Colour/Acrylic:

  1. The artwork must be handmade.
  2. It should be original
  3. Participants must use water/acrylic colours only. The use of any other medium is not allowed.
Comic Strips/ Doodling:
  1. Artwork must be handmade.
  2. . Participants can use any medium of colour to complete the artwork.
  3. Artwork should be original
  4. Participants will be given one page to complete the artwork.
Digital Poster
  1. The artwork must be made digitally
  2. Participants can use any application of their preference.
  3. Artwork must be original but the participants can use snippets from other artworks.
  4. The completed artwork and their time lapse video must be submitted to the email address artflation24@yesm.in with the subject and the name of the document as ArtFlation24_NameOfTheParticipant.
